The arrangement of books on the shelves is by subject, but it is important to realize that the needs of any one reader are unlikely to be met by one section of the resource centre alone. Many books deal with more than one subject, or are kept in different sequence of account of their varying size or form.
The books in the Resource Centre are mainly classified and arranged by National Library of Medicine (NLM) Classification Scheme basically for Medical books. A few non medical books are classified using Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) Scheme.
