It is independent in its reflection, advice, and decision. Click here for the list of all HAUREC members, their qualifications and institutional affiliations.
Purpose of HAUREC
HAUREC was established in 2014 in order to provide independent guidance, advice, and decision (in the form of “approval/recommendation/stipulation/disapproval”) on health research or other specific research protocols involving human participants. It does this while safeguarding the rights, safety and welfare of the participants. It also has a mandate to oversee all approved research studies. HAUREC is committed to its duty of reporting to UNCST on all its activities.
